Remembering the Winding Engines

February 14, 2021

Wheatley Hill Colliery was lucky to have two very fine winding engines.

The History Club has had a film of the winding engine working at Wheatley Hill colliery in 1968 restored for future generations to enjoy. You can find out more information and the video at a dedicated page here

Death in our area – Frances Wilson

This will be held as a zoom meeting – You will need to let us know in advance if you intend to join the meeting, as I need to send you an  email invitation with a password in order for you  to enter the meeting.  This is a great opportunity for our members who live out of the area and can’t travel to our meetings, to become involved.
