Seeking relatives I never knew about. 142
February 14 2017 Contributor: James Parsons

My late Father James Parsons who married Kathleen Rutherford lived in Thornley and Wheatley Hill.
In 1955 my parents moved to Stoke on Trent my father was a miner.
As my father served in the Maritime Royal Artillery for the duration of the 2nd World War defending Merchant ships.
I am aware some photos of my father were published in a book about men and women from the surrounding area.
I would be interested in purchasing the book if it is still possible.
Kind Regards James Parsons Jnr

Anyone remember me and my brother Brian visiting my grandmother in Burn Street during the 1940's & 50's.
There used to be a very friendly number of children - at that time- who welcomed the two of us each time we visited Wheatley Hill.

Does anyone know of Gilbert Hardy from WH 139
July 25 2016 Contributor: Christina Hardy

Hi I am trying to trace some of my cousins whom I have never met! My Father was Gilbert Hardy and was born in 1921. All I know is he had brothers Christopher, Stanley & Henry and a sister Elsie. I would love to hear from anyone who knows this family.
